Participant Criteria

When is the deadline to apply? And when will I hear back?

**Vendor Application Schedule**
• Online applications accepted May 8, 2015 – June 30, 2015.
• Eat Real reviews applications and solicits tastings until mid-July.
• Selected vendors will be notified by July 31, 2015.

**Programming & Entertainment Application Schedule**
• Online applications accepted May 8, 2015 – July 31, 2015.
• Eat Real reviews applications through Aug 30, 2015.
• Selected participants will be notified by Sept 1, 2015.

PLEASE NOTE: Our application process is very competitive and unfortunately we cannot include everyone. If you do not hear from us by the designated date – this means you have NOT been selected to be part of the Eat Real Festival this year.  

What are the selection criteria for Food Vendors?

Criteria for being a Food Craft Vendor at the Eat Real Festival:

- Food Vendors are not allowed to sell any beverages (not even water).
– All protein ingredients from your menu must be purchased from local, source-verified farms, fisheries, and ranches.
– At least 3 main produce ingredients from your menu must be purchased from local, source-verified farms.
– All packaged food products must be produced in small batches, by hand and feature high quality, local & seasonal ingredients.
– All portions should be designed with affordability and accessibility in mind, and fall within a $1.00 to $8.00 price range
– Vendors must acquire all proper business licenses and permits and meet Alameda County Fire Department and Health Department Requirements.
– Vendors are asked to work with the Eat Real Festival to create menu items that fit into the overall food offerings at the Festival

What are the selection criteria for Beverage Vendors?

Criteria for being a Beverage Vendor at the Eat Real Festival:

- Each beverage vendor will feature at least 2 flavors of a nonalcoholic beverage.
– All beverage portions should be designed with affordability and accessibility in mind, and fall within a $1.00 to $5.00 price range
– Vendors must acquire all proper business licenses and permits and meet Alameda County Fire Department and Health Department Requirements.
– Vendors are asked to work with the Eat Real Festival to create menu items that fit into the overall beverage offerings at the Festival

Do you allow other vendors to participate?

Traditionally, Eat Real Festival DOES NOT invite merchandise vendors who are not sponsors/partners of the festival to participate.

All vendors must acquire proper business licenses and permits and meet Alameda County Fire Department Requirements.

How can I become performer at this event?

All performers at the festival are on a volunteer basis and receive no contract or compensation. Fill out the Participation Form above to give us a detailed description of your musical act or demonstration.

How do I become a sponsor?
